Name: Amagi Keiichi Age: 19 Sexuality: doesn't Personlity: Amagi seems to suffer from having a bipolar personality; at times he is calm and serene but with one extreme mood swing he has been found to be maddened, rabid like a dog, foaming at the mouth for war and violence. When Amagi is in a good mood he is pleasant, he likes to listen to music and play quite innocent practical jokes. He has a good sense of humour and likes to socialise with people he is fond of, like Spirytus. He strives to keep his close friends amused even if he looks like a joker in the process. However, Amagi has a much darker, more sinister, aspect to his jovial personality. There is an altogether unhealthy obsession with mortality in him; he is fascinated with death and murder. He delights in ordering Spirytus to go out and kill for him whilst watching from a safe distance, as he himself does not believe in his own murderous abilities, he sends someone else to do the dirty work. He gets a preternatural thrill from witnessing the act, especially since he was the one that ordered it. Amagi himself does not question why he is so interested in the act of murder, he accepts that it is simply an aspect of his personality and lives with it quite happily. He is not a man of morals by any stretch of the imagination. On the whole, when people make an effort to try and break through his outer personality they end up dead by Spirytus’s hand, he does not appreciate closeness, it makes him feel uncomfortable and trapped. Amagi believes that his feelings are his and his alone, he never talks to people about his past and he never tells people how his mood. Background: Born in Espalion, Amagi has had a rough childhood in which he spent most of his time hanging around on the streets rather than at home being the supportive son that his mother so longed for. He did not like family life from a young age and he hated the obligations that came with being a son. He did not enjoy having to help around a house that he never considered his, nor did he appreciate being told when to eat or sleep or study. So, instead of doing as he was told, he did the complete opposite. When his parents begged him to come home he would stay out and when they pleaded for him to stay away from the dangerous areas of the city, he made a bee-line to them. With an attitude like that he landed himself in a lot of trouble, trouble that his parents had to regularly bail him out of. After years of the same behaviour, his parents eventually gave up on him. He regressed into petty crimes and drug taking; he suffered from extreme mood-swings and long periods of depression. Years passed and he felt like he was a shell of a person, he did not want to go on living such a hollow life. But when he was on the verge of ending it, he heard something, words or a tune, something inside of his head. It was more than his own mind, this much he knew. It was a sort of message, a calling. He knew he had to follow it; it was as if the choice was not even his to make! He had to follow that message, the invisible footprints that someone, something had left for him. He journeyed to Igandea and to its navy… little did he know the sorts of things that were in store for him. Upon explaining his situation he was, seemingly, opened into the navy with open arms. They said he had potential, that he could prove quite useful with his abilities… all of this, of course, meant nothing to the estranged Amagi. Despite not being one to follow orders, he went along with what they said for the sake of learning more about this strange ability they claimed he had. All Amagi knew was that he could hear things in his head that neither he nor anyone else was saying. It didn’t really come across as words but more like a living consciousness. He was instructed to The dragon became Spirytus who worked as Amagi’s partner and their “friendship” was an odd one. In time, Amagi grew unruly and arrogant; he knew he could get away with a lot in the Navy because of his strong empathy with dragons. They could not afford to let him go. Spirytus didn’t seem to approve of the random and often dreadful things that Amagi asked of him, but because of their connection he rarely had a choice in the matter. |
